Meet the Owner

Benjamin Berry – Founder & Operator

Benjamin Berry, the founder of Happy Sage Homestead LLC (DBA Bury Bunch Earthworks), is a dedicated veteran, skilled excavator, and passionate business owner. His journey has been one of resilience, hard work, and a deep commitment to serving others.

Born and raised in Utah, Benjamin graduated before enlisting in the Army, where he served with dedication, including a deployment overseas. Seeking to expand his skills, he transitioned within the military to study Chinese Mandarin, demonstrating his adaptability and drive for continuous learning.

After completing his service, Benjamin moved to Arizona, where he built a new chapter of his life. He married, started a family, and pursued a career in banking with Chase Bank. However, he soon realized that his true passion lay elsewhere—working with his hands, engaging with the land, and helping others bring their visions to life.

With this realization, he left the corporate world and immersed himself in the excavation industry, gaining hands-on experience and developing his expertise. In 2024, he founded Happy Sage Homestead LLC with a mission to provide honest, high-quality excavation and grading services while prioritizing relationships over transactions.

Benjamin's approach to business is rooted in integrity, excellence, and kindness. He believes that work is more than just a service—it’s an opportunity to connect with people, solve problems, and create something meaningful. With a steady hand and a clear mind, he tackles each project with precision and dedication, ensuring that every job is done right.

Outside of work, Benjamin finds fulfillment in his faith, his family, and the pursuit of continuous growth. He is guided by the belief that kindness and excellence can thrive in business, and he brings that philosophy to every project he undertakes.

Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
